President Jeff Stulberg led our first meeting of the new 2015-16 Rotary Year by outlining his plans for the year. The RI Theme is Be a Gift to the World and he said we'll have lots of opportunity to do that this coming year. He'll be focusing on fun and fellowship and has plans for doing just that with our SLO Family Picnic at Biddle Park on August 30 and Rotary Night with all SLO Rotary and Rotaract Clubs getting together on September 21 at Shalimar Indian Restaurant.

The theme of the President's Club is "Jeff's Big Fish Club" and generous members donated $4,000 to get the club started, the proceeds of which will benefit projects that serve our local community. You donate at any level at anytime throughout the year. The banner will be in the meeting room, so check it out and decide the level that best fits your financial situation.

And fair warning: fines will be issued for not wearing your Rotary pin and for having your cell phone on ... or checking messages during the meeting. Other than that, it will be a light year for fines as he'd like all Rotarians to be sustaining members of the Rotary Foundation which means donating at least $100 during the year.

Congratulations, Jeff ... and thanks for your continued spirit of service above self. We look forward to a great year under your leadership.
